This ran for about 30 hours correcting the Win7 partition, and I was able to see my files from the other OSs.hurrah!

The fix-> chkdsk from a windows 7 startup disk. Windows 7 wouldn't boot, and I couldn't read any of my files. I began experiencing problems after I stopped Gparted in the middle (at the very beginning) of resizing the Windows 7 partition to fill a 1mb gap in the hard drive (stuuupid!!). I had grub2 and everything worked and booted perfectly. My hard drive has 4 partitions, running Kali, Mint, Windows 7, and a 8gb swap space.
